Lake trout, burbot, arctic char, humans; fry are eaten by fish-eating birds, such as mergansers and grebes.
Most whitefish migrate long distances between feeding and spawning grounds. Some migrate to salt water feeding areas, but spawn and overwinter in fresh water.
